Rules and Regulations for ICA Children Cultural Fest 2026
General Rules
ICA Children Cultural Fest 2026 will be conducted on 8th March 2026 (Jointly organised by Canberra CC Indian Activity Executive committee and Indian Cultural Association).
If registration exceeds maximum number of participants in any category, registration will be closed for those categories.
If registration did not meet minimum number of participants in any categories, Organisers may cancel the competition of those categories.
There is no separate competition for girls and boys.
A participant can compete in a maximum of 2 Single stage items and group item(s) and 1 off stage item (Colouring/ Drawing/ Painting). Maximum 4 participation per participant
Registration will be confirmed only after payment of registration fees for each participating items.
The allotted time limit for each competition will be monitored by judges.
All decision by the judges and organizers are final.
Do not use any country’s national flag on stage other than Singapore’s.
All participants must carry age proof.
Participants are permitted to compete in higher age categories.
The Organisers reserve the right to cancel any of the event in case of any disputes without any prior notices.
Registration fee:
$10 per participant per competition item (stage & off-stage items)
Age Category
Age will be calculated based on 01/01/2026.
Individual Items
1) Below 8 years - Born on or after 01-01-2018
2) 8 to 10 years - Born on or after 01-01-2015 (01 Jan 2015 ~ 31 Dec 2017)
3) 11 to 14 years - Born on or after 01-01-2011 (01 Jan 2011 ~ 31 Dec 2014)
Group Items
1) 10 Years & Below - Born on or after 01-01-2015
2) 14 Years & below - Born on or after 01-01-2011
3) Below 18 years - Born on or after 01-01-2007
Colouring (Below 8 years)
Maximum time allowed is 40 min
Participants need to bring Crayons.
A picture will be provided for colouring.
Only one entry per participant is accepted.
Participants should not write name of the participants, entries must have Participant’s chest number
(Evaluation will be based on Originality, Colour mixing and Neatness)
Pencil drawing (8 to 10 years)
Maximum time allowed is 40 min
Participants need to bring Pencils & Eraser.
Shading using black pencils are allowed.
Only one entry per participant is accepted.
Participants should not write name of the participants, entries must have
Participant’s chest number.
The topic for Pencil Drawing is “My School”.
(Evaluation will be based on Creativity, Originality, Neatness and Perfection)
Painting (11 to 14 years)
Maximum time allowed is 45 min.
Participants need to bring water colour painting materials. (Only water colour
Paintings are allowed).
An A3 size paper will be provided.
Only one entry per participant is accepted.
Participants should not write name of the participants, entries must have
Participant’s chest number.
The topic for Painting is “Marina Bay Sands”
(Evaluation will be based on Creativity, Colour mixing, Neatness and Perfection)
Show & Tell (Below 8 years)
Maximum time allowed is 3 min.
Show & Tell should be only in English.
Mentioning of Participant's name and Reading is not allowed during Show & Tell.
There is no topic for this competition, but participants must bring the property.
(Evaluation will be based on Preparation & No stage fear, Clarity, Presentation and Flow of language)
Speech (8 to 10 years & 11 to 14 years)
Maximum time allowed is 4 min.
Speech should be only in English.
Mentioning of Participant's name and Reading is not allowed during the speech.
The Topic for 8 to 10 years category is “Healthy life style”
The Topic for 11 to 14 years category is “ Artificial Intelligence in daily life”
(Evaluation will be based on Memorization & No stage Fear, Clarity in Language Pronunciation, Subject grasp &
Presentation and Flow of Speech)
Fancy dress (Below 8 years)
Max time allowed is 1 min
Participants are not allowed to use CD/Music track, but music from Phone/Tablet can be used through mic.
Participants are allowed to talk through mic, Language should be English.
Properties are allowed.
Do not use any country’s national flag on stage other than Singapore’s flag.
Make-up and costume must be arranged by participants.
(Evaluation will be based on Originality, Presentation on stage, Makeup and Costume)
Vocal solo music (8 to 10 years, 11 to 14 years)
Maximum time allowed is 4 min.
Karaoke is allowed.
Film songs or Semi Classical songs can be used.
Songs in any Indian language can be performed.
(Evaluation will be based on Voice, Overall Appeal, Rhythm, and Musical Pitch)
Cinematic, Semi Classical & Folk dance (Below 8 years & 8 to 10 years)
Maximum time allowed is 4 min.
Film songs in any language is allowed.
CD/Music is allowed.
Do not use any country’s national flag on stage other than Singapore’s flag.
Music instruments cannot be played.
Classical dance is not allowed under this category.
Pre-recorded music for the dance to be bought in a pen drive and should send through email before 27th Feb ( icachildrenfest2026@gmail.com)
(Evaluation will be based on Costume, Expression, Rhythm, Body Movements and Overall Performance)
Cinematic, Semi Classical & Folk dance (11 to 14 years)
Maximum time allowed is 4 min.
Film songs in any language is allowed.
CD/Music is allowed.

Music instruments cannot be played.
Classical dance is not allowed under this category

Group Dance (10 Years & Below, 14 years& below, below 18 years)
Maximum time allowed is 6 min.
Film/Folk songs in any language is allowed.
CD/Music is allowed, Music instruments cannot be played.
Do not use any country’s national flag on stage other than Singapore’s flag.
Number of participants should be minimum 5 and Maximum 12.
Participants should arrange Make-up and Costumes.

(Evaluation will be based on Costume, Expression, Rhythm, Body Movements, Group Coordination and Overall Performance)
